What do web developers charge to design a website?

I am looking to design my family website. could you please tell me how do they charge? Do they charge per page, or for a whole site?

they would be charging for per page and for example if you have  4 pages to design they may ask  about 25$ to design them

Completely depends on design. But quality requires big money no doubt.

Make sure you agree a price before they start the work, dont get sucked into these charge you for their time web designers as they are a rip off

Tell them what you want and agree the price!!!
